The Wine Underground is an Adelaide Hospitality icon… Originally built in the early 2000’s, it soon became a popular wine haunt amongst the savvy corporate sector. Completely destroyed by a building explosion in 2005 and after nearly 2 years of renovations, The Wine Underground’s Cellar Doors re-opened bringing with it a refreshing outlook to the casual corporate dining scene in the City.
Now split over two impressive levels and with an ultra modern, chic refurbishment the venue now boasts a broad and unique hospitality offering and has been regarded as one of Australia’s Best Restaurants.
At ‘Street Level’ you will find the Bin One21 Wine Shop, Cafe & Bar offering a truly casual, relaxed ‘wine bar’ environment that is now popular with the City’s bustling ‘after-five’ crowd. The key feature of this space is the never-ending ‘Wall of Wine’ with all wines marked at retail (take-away) prices OR for a minimal $10 corkage added to the bottle price, you can sit-back, relax & drink it in the bar.
Downstairs, ‘The Cellar’ is home to The Wine Underground Restaurant & Wine Bar… UK born Head Chef Tom Reid mans the stoves and delivers contemporary, innovative dishes through both his ‘tapas to share’ & a la carte menus. Best described as ‘Casually Elegant’ it is a perfect venue for any occasion and with our two private dining rooms, The McLaren & The Barossa – Corporate Hospitality & Functions are our speciality.
We have recently launched our One21 Corporate Catering business to compliment our two venues, now bringing the same outstanding quality food & wine found in our Restaurant’s, direct to the offices and boardrooms of our clients.
